Fabiola Torres
I am a Southern Californian (Creator of Arterra Studio), I’m a photographer, plastic and digital artist. currently living in the astonishing Palm Springs; mostly known worldwide for its Mid-Century Modern Architecture, interior designs, and exotic landscapes, among many other wonderful and unique things about my now hometown.
Formerly a “Miamian” from the so called Beautiful City (Coral Gables) which will forever remain in my heart as my other home town. Back there I worked extensively in the fine arts business in Wynwood (Mid Town), working at a contemporary art gallery, running operations for a total of six years. Parallel to that, I’m a life-long plastic artist that mainly worked with oils and mixed media on canvas, but also performed murals, decorating children’s rooms mostly.
My graphic design project surged due to my background as a rock climber, 17 years in such an adventure in September 2023. This is by far the most important life changing discipline I had taken in terms of the places I’ve been, seen, efforts exerted, pain endured, joyful moments of celebration, frustration, fear, and of course, nothing better in life than hugging and kissing that summit. Not to forget that the summit is only the half point of the journey though. My love for nature inspired me to capture it in digital mediums.
With an Associate of Science Degree (major in Digital Media Design), I am now continuing to strengthening my skills, particularly in Motion Graphics, I enjoy just about all disciplines of graphic design, but exploring new fields is always thrilling.
